Francesco Pampaloni and Ernst Stelzer, of the LSFM4LIFE coordinator team at the Buchmann Institute for Molecular Life Sciences (University Frankfurt, Germany), are organizing LSFM2019, a major conference on light sheet microscopy and its applications in biology. The conference will be held on the university’s Riedberg Campus on 4-6 December 2019.
Nine scientific sessions will be dedicated to topics ranging from tissue imaging and pathology to image processing and data analysis. Although there is a focus on biology, in particular on three-dimensional cellular systems and model organisms, technical aspects such as light sheet engineering will also be covered in detail.
The scientific sessions will be complemented by a poster session, a session on the latest developments in open access resources and by presentations by LSFM2019 sponsors, mostly manufacturers of microscopy equipment.
